Crafting Unity: The design history of the United Nations Security Council Chamber
@ United Nations, NYC
May 7–21, 2022

Crafting Unity: The design history of the United Nations Security Council Chamber, curated and designed by Darling Green for the Permanent Mission of Norway to the UN, explores the design history of this historic room, nicknamed the ‟most important room in the world.” It focused on the legacy of Norway's architectural and artistic contributions, with particular emphasis on the three female Norwegian designers who defined much of the room’s character. The exhibition was staged in the delegates entrance of the United Nations building, and featured large-scale temporary walls which presented archival material and research from the original design and recent restoration of the room.
