Darling Green was pleased to compose a performance score for this important archive of material related to the Performa Biennial. The exhibition and series of live events took over all three floors of LGDR's 1913 building on 89th Street. The score programmed graphic elements with a variety of documents and photos that appeared and disappeared over the course of the event. Close to 2000 rarely seen documentary photographs were sequenced and displayed via battery powered video carts that moved through the space. These along with 10 other video locations were controlled via a custom script that dictated which videos were playing at any given time. When live performance were scheduled to occur, the other videos in the space would go dark. The exhibition unfolded as a time based and improvisatory dance of media and art revealing itself in relationship with the audience's movement and attention. What joy!
