Vitra: Verner Panton,
2005
For the New York edition of this show from the Vitra Design Museum, we designed an immersive environment that alluded to the soft curving forms in Panton’s work. Composed of over 120 separate elements this exhibition design included drop ceilings for lighting, large freestanding fabric panels, and tiered display platforms. These platforms connected with horizontal bands wrapping around walls to carry labels and text. The result was an unbroken ribbon of white lacquer to support the entire show.
